Will and The Starlight announces new recording project

Synth-pop indie artist Will and The Starlight announced new record ‘The Poet and The Dragon’ as his upcoming 2025 new record. Commenting on the news, Will said; “It’s been a while since my last studio record was released and earlier this year I dropped a compilation record of remixes, demoes and unreleased studio tracks, which I just wanted to put out Into the world so that they didn’t stay lost in my studio archives. I’m in the right space to create a new record. It’s got a different sound… a new creative direction, I guess you could call it?’

Will’s last studio release was 2022’s ‘Spectra’ which saw the singles ‘Phoenix to the Flame’, ‘So Far Away’ and ‘Hurt by Love’ released.

“While I don’t want to give too much away, I’ve been hugely inspired by indie rock bands such as Paramore, The Nightswimmers, The Native, St Etienne and Sedona. An eclectic mix of music for sure. And of course I’m sure they’ll be some soaring synths throughout the whole project. I’m really liking the Roland Juno and Yamaha CS80 vintage Bladerunner synth at the moment. Welcome to my weird sonic world!’

The Poet and Dragon is expected to be released, late Summer 2025.
