Katy Bourne OBE celebrates the county of Sussex, on Sussex Day, 2026.

Over the past 12 months, we've been working closely with Katy Bourne OBE to create a film that feels authentic to both her and Sussex. Drawing on a substantial archive of footage we've captured of Katy over the last 12 months, combined with existing film assets and carefully selected new material, we set out to tell a bigger story, one that goes beyond politics and focuses on the county itself.

The result is a film that shines a light on what makes Sussex special. Its history and heritage, its businesses and communities, its coastline and countryside, but most importantly, its people. We wanted the narrative to feel optimistic and grounded, celebrating the energy, character and ambition that runs throughout the county, and the people who make it what it is.

Bringing together footage captured across many months into a single, coherent story has been a rewarding and creative process. We're proud of the final film and grateful to Katy for trusting us to help tell a story that is positive, hopeful and unapologetically proud of Sussex.
