Hampshire Fizz Fest showcases the best of local sparkling wines and artisan producers

The weekend just gone saw us shooting and filming at two festivals:

The Chilli and Gin Festival in Portsmouth and at the Hampshire Fizz Fest, held at the Raimes English Sparkling vineyard, Hampshire.

Both were brilliant events… a credit to the event’s organisers and backers.

Jayne Mugridge, one of the directors and creative forces behind Yarty Cordials.

At both festivals, the impressions I left with were that local producers and business are incredible… making products that range from artisanal, to show-stopping, to larder-staples. And that seeing these amazing businesses and producers exporting Hampshire/British made products far, wide and in many cases, out into the world to global markets and consumers.

Both festivals showcased what’s special about these British producers. It’s not hard to see why many of the vineyards and producers are seen by many as industry leaders and ‘global ambassadors of sorts’ for Hampshire, it’s commerce and its enterprise.
